Tripura DM apologises for his behaviour during wedding raids

In a viral video on social media, the Tripura DM was seen stopping a wedding ceremony at Manikya Court, a marriage hall at North Gate of the Palace Compound, allegedly after the 10 pm cutoff time for Covid-19 night curfew to come into force in the Agartala Municipal Council (AMC) areas.

West Tripura DM Sailesh Kumar Yadav Tuesday apologised for disrupting a marriage in a very aggressive way at Manikya Court in Tripura, saying he didn’t intend to “hurt anyone’s sentiments”. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has asked Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar to submit a report on the events that occurred.

In the video, He was seen slapping and kicking the guests. He also used cussed words for the people at the wedding. He also slapped the Pandit who was there for the wedding. Someone watching the video the first time will assume that there are some goons attacking a wedding ceremony.
